Google’s AI Overviews have 2B monthly users, AI Mode 100M in the US and India

Google’s AI Overviews feature has reached 2 billion monthly users, CEO Sundar Pichai told investors during the company’s Q2 2025 earnings report. The tool, available in 200 countries, had 1.5 billion users as of May.

The Gemini AI app now has 450 million monthly active users, with daily request volume up more than 50% quarter-over-quarter.

At the infrastructure level, Google is processing 980 trillion monthly tokens, up from 480 trillion in May.

Pichai said the results reflect growing demand for AI features across Google’s services.
